| Hi we live in mornington melbourne which is really stunning but we don't like the climate change especially the winters. We are planning a holiday to bribane in sep/ and was hoping we could get some recommended areas from people to go and take a look at. Lisax x |

I havn't been up Brissy way for a looong time, Well it is definately warmer.
I dont like the winter winds of Melbourne or Sydney.
What sort of places do you have in mind? holiday or something permanent.
Holidaying on the Gold coast is nice except when the schoolies come out to play "November"

Summers not too hot
Winters not to cold
At 9am:
West Brisbane (Ipswich area) is currently 13C
My area is currently 20C
I've just looked at Melbourne (shivver.. 9 °C .) Now I know why you want to move
Our hottest days last year were:
Cleveland/Bayside had 8 days exceeding 32°C and only 1 day over 92% humidity.
Out of 365 days, 4 days reached 33°C, 3 days reached 34°C and only
1 day hit 37°C |

Those temps seem a little unreal.
Down here in Sydney I can remember a few days reaching over 40! and going down to around 5 in the winter...

STUD | I agree, I used to live in Westerrn Sydney. It often hit 40C
Contrary to the common conception.... Bayside Brisbane is cooler than Western Sydney in Summer, and but still warmer in Winter.
When my wife went down to Sydney for 1 week at Christmas 2004, she said she is staying in QLD, as it is to HOT in SYDNEY !!
We got ice one winter in Sydney !! I think Bayside Brisbane has never had it.
However... having said that... last night was the coldest on record here for May (I assume) Our area reached 7C, but Ipswich, the same distance to the West of Brisbane (we are to the East) hit -3C .
You have to pick your area well |

I've lived in Melbourne, Sydney and the last 20 years in Brisbane. I still visit Melbourne and Sydney occasionally, but enjoy everything about living up here, including the weather.
Anyway, there is much to see and do here in South-East Queensland, depending on what type of 'good time' you're after. Give me a few clues about what you like and I'll happily point out a few spots to visit.
Kind regards
