Hi could anyone help in suggesting any nice areas to move to near to the airport. We currently live in Perth but sadly have had enough of the quietness and lack of job opportunites. I am an Aircraft Engineer from the UK originally, Worked for the worlds faviorite Airline, at the worlds bussiest Airport. It just seems to slow and quiet here, we are hoping Brisbane will be a little livelier and give us more opportunities.
Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. |

Hi Taz
Not sure if you've made the move already. Just a quick one to suggest that airport folk are in very high demand here in Brisbane. There was an ABC segment on TV a few nights ago about this very topic. You'll also be pleased to know that Brisbane is expanding it's airport with a new runway.
As I don't think I can leave links (to keep the spammers out), Google "New Parallel Runway" and you should have more information at your fingertips.
There are also some decent sized regional airports (including international airports) along the Queensland coastline.
I think the best areas to move into, which are close to the airport would include Nundah, Clayfield, Wavell Heights, Chermside, etc. It really depends on how much you want to spend. I can give you an idea if you're still chasing one.
Kind regards
