Me and my hubby are wanting to move to oz but dont really know where to begin, we have no contacts over there not sure what state. We did travel from Sydney to Brisbane a couple of years ago and prefered Brisbane however little concerned about the temp as we now have two small children who will be under 3 when we come over. We would also like advice on employment my hubby is in the air con and refrigeration trade so if anyone can advise we would appreciate it. Thanks

I migrated to Australia when I was young (about 11 years old) and ahve lived lived in Melbourne, Sydney, as well as the last 20 years in Brisbane. I now have a young family, but the 'sun-smart' message is drilled into kids from a very young age. Whenever our kids go to the beach, they're well protected from the sun.

It doesn't get too hot here in Brisbane (Sydney and Melbourne often record higher temperatures), but we do have more humidity. Most people seem to get by with A/C these days anyway.

To me, Brisbane really feels like the ideal place to bring up a young family. We love it here! : )

I have a few friends working in different levels of A/C, so let me know if you need contacts in the industry. From what I understand, those skills are in high demand.
