This is just a reminder to anyone visiting our Country looking for work and holiday at the same time...
We had a young South Korean girl promised work in a restaurant. OK so the poor excited girl makes her way to Sydney.. The trip is paid for by her employer.
When she arrived she was taken to a Brothel and forced to work as a sex slave to pay off her dept. This sort of crime is not common but it does happen, lucky the people involved were caught by the Police. They were from Malaysia one was caught at the Airport trying to flee back to Malaysia...
Simple cautions can avoid this sort of crime.
Make sure you tell someone where you will be working or holidaying.
Leave your phone number with someone. even if you phone is taken off you I'm sure someone will answer it and then the Police can track the call.
It helps to know someone in the state you are visiting, ask them to help you get settled.
Never trust a stranger, dont be fooled with jobs offering high returns, or free accomadition. "check it out" or just ask someone for advice.
Even i you feel that you are safe always expect the unexpected.
If this little message helps just one person, then it will have served it's purpose.

Very good advice stud
You should also contact your embassy or Chamber of Commerce to check on the background of your future employer... they should know their market and advise you on the procedures to follow
